Albany Poets is a local organization whose goal is to promote the poets and poetry of Upstate New York. Albany Poets hosts open mics, poetry readings, slams, music and spoken word events, and the annual  Albany Word Fest  to increase participation and attendance in the local arts community.

The Hudson Valley Writers Guild supports the efforts of writers in all genres by sponsoring readings, workshops and contests and providing a number of valuable resources for the entire literary community. The mission of NoHoPoCo is to create a supportive environment for local poets to explore their craft and expand their skills - both written and performative - at our workshops and open mics.
