Kenneth Denberg, 67, of Cambridge, NY, died December 28, 2018 in Castleton, NY, after a long illness. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Max and Pauline (Yablonsky) Denberg.
A well-published poet, blueberry farmer, winemaker, and retired English instructor, he received a Doctor of Arts from the State University of New York at Albany, an MFA from the University of Oregon, and a BA from the University of South Carolina. With Darby Penney, Ken founded and edited a literary journal, The Snail’s Pace Review, and a literary small press, the Snail’s Pace Press, from 1991-2004.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Darby Penney; his sister Deborah (Harry) Rodriquez; his brother David (Susannah) Denberg; and several nieces and nephews. His brother Jeffrey (Lynda) Denberg and sister Susan (Lee) Berson predeceased him.
