Black Dirt Storytelling Guild

  • Florida Public Library 4 Cohen Circle Florida, NY, 10921 United States (map)

Adult story lovers and listeners, join us for our monthly meeting at the library. Each month we will tell stories on a theme. This month, join members of the BDSG to swap tales on War & Peace to mark the upcoming 100th anniversary of Armistice Day which ended World War I on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Stories of ancient, historical, current or imaginary conflicts are welcome, as well as those of ordinary people, survivors, heroes and peace makers. Please let us know if you would like to share a story! Coffee, tea and homemade desserts will be served at 6:30 followed by a story swap on our theme War & Peace.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month and special events like Storytelling Cafes and Tellabration! take place throughout the year. For adults & teens aged 16 & up. New tellers are always welcome - contact Madelyn Folino, 845-651-7659.
